Four-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Eastern PA origin, circa 1870, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and ribbed lug handles, decorated on the front and back with a brushed cobalt drooping flower design. Looping cobalt line under each handle. Dryness to reverse. Small chip to one handle. 1 1/4" flake to opposite handle. Minor rim chip. H 14 3/4".
