Ovoid Redware Jar with Manganese Tulip Decoration, Stamped "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO," PA origin, circa 1870, ovoid jar with heavily-tooled shoulder, flared rim and ribbed lug handles, decorated on the front and back with a brushed manganese dotted tulip design. Lead-glazed interior. Two large sections broken and reglued. Staining to cracks where pieces were reglued. Rim chips and two chips to one handle. A few old shallow base chips. H 12 1/2".
