Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG, PA," circa 1865, ovoid jug with tooled shoulder and semi-squared spout, decorated with a brushed cobalt double flower design. Excellent color. As-made condition with some light brown drips of salt or Albany slip extending down from spout on left side, front, and base of handle. Shallow rim flake, which likely occurred in the firing. H 15 1/2".
