Rare Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Bird Decoration, NY State origin, third quarter 19th century, ovoid pitcher with tooled shoulder and flared rim, decorated with a brushed and slip-trailed cobalt design of a crested bird. Additional cobalt dashes and swags above bird and along rim. Stone pings to front. Shallow rim chip. Small worn spout to base of molding below spout. H 10 1/2".
