Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "BINGHAMTON. N.Y.," circa 1870, straight-sided crock with applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed cobalt design of a crested bird perched on a stem. Crack on underside, extending vertically up front of crock 8". 4 1/2" line under one handle. 2 1/4" crack above one handle. Two small rim chips. Staining to surface. H 9 3/4".
