Two-Gallon Stoneware Cream Jar with Cobalt Bird Decoration, NY State origin, circa 150, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed cobalt design of a spotted bird perched on flower. Cobalt "2" above. Restored crack, which touch some of decoration, and extends around side of jar, onto underside, and onto bottom half of opposite side of jar. H 9".
