BELL & SON / STRASBURG," circa 1890, ovoid cup with pronounced foot, straight and wavy lines incised at shoulder, and heavily-ribbed handle, covered in an attractive, cream-colored slip with clear lead overglaze. A very rare Bell redware form. Outstanding large size. This vessel appears too large to be used as something to drink out of. It may have been used as a mush cup. Small chips and minor wear.
