Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Lidded Jar with Grapes Motif, Signed "Edwin Meaders," Cleveland, GA, circa 1960s-1970s, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, decorated on the front and reverse with a hand-modeled and applied cluster of grapes flanked by leaves descending from looping stems. Surface covered in an olive-colored alkaline glaze over reddish clay. Includes original lid with pronounced, rounded finial and matching glaze. Underside incised with Edwin Meaders signature. Provenance: Frank W. White Collection. Excellent condition with a 7/8" in-the-firing chip to bottom edge. H (including lid) 9".
