Manganese-Glazed Redware Jar, Stamped "I. BELL," John Bell, Waynesboro, PA, circa 1840, squat-shaped, cylindrical jar with footed base, tapered shoulder, and short, vertical rim, the surface covered in a reddish-brown lead-and-manganese glaze. A small base chip and minor base nick. Surface wear. H 4 7/8".
