Miniature Glazed Redware Jar, Eastern TN origin, 19th century, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, flattened rim, and base area carved out with vertical potter's knife strokes. Surface covered in a brownish lead-based glaze with greenish cast, probably colored with iron or copper oxide. Exhibited: Tennessee Turned, Earthenware and Stoneware Made in East Tennessee 1800-1900, Museum of East Tennessee History, May 16-October 30, 2011. Colored rim chips. Otherwise excellent condition. H 1 3/4".
