Two-Gallon Salt-Glazed Stoneware Jar, Stamped "W GRINSTAFF 18," Blount County, TN origin, circa 1870-1890, ovoid jar with flaring coggled-decorated collar and two vertical strap handles, dipped in a brownish slip and covered in a salt glaze, creating a mottled greenish surface. Exhibited: Tennessee Turned, Earthenware and Stoneware Made in East Tennessee 1800-1900, Museum of East Tennessee History, May 16-October 30, 2011.
