Rare One-and-a-Half-Gallon Cobalt-Stenciled Stoneware Cake Crock, Stenciled "SOUTHERN / STONEWARE / POTTERY," Donaghho Pottery, Parkersburg, WV, late 19th century, wide, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a stenciled geometric band across the front. Stenciled below one handle with rare "SOUTHERN / STONEWARE / POTTERY" maker's mark above a stenciled "1 1/2." Excellent condition with some light staining. H 6 1/2" ; Diam. (at rim) 10 3/8".
