Fine Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jug, Lincoln County, NC origin, mid 19th century, ovoid jug with heavily-tooled spout, the surface covered in a dark-olive alkaline glaze with heavy whitish runs throughout. Very nice condition with one spout chip, a small in-the-firing base chip, and traces of old paint to underside. H 12 3/4".
