Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jug, possibly Upstate SC origin, fourth quarter 19th century, ovoid jug with flaring spout and thin strap handle, the surface covered in a brownish alkaline glaze with olive mottling and rutile accents. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 16 3/4".
