Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Pitcher, Edgefield District, SC origin, third quarter 19th century, ovoid-bellied pitcher with tall collar and semi-squared rim, the surface covered in a mottled olive-colored alkaline glaze. A 2 5/8" x 1 18" reglued section to rim. Some painted restoration to exterior of rim and spout. Two small unrestored rim chips. Underside of pitcher with flakes and an old filled 1/2" hole. Two small base chips. A small spot of old blue paint to front. Minor in-the-firing surface pings. H 11".
