Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jug, attributed to B.F. Landrum, Edgefield District, SC, circa 1850, highly ovoid jug with tooled spout, the surface covered in a runny light-olive alkaline glaze. Appealing unglazed fingerprints at base, created when the jug was dipped in its glaze. A 1 1/8" base chip. Otherwise excellent condition with a name written in old white crayon on underside. H 9 1/2".
