One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "LYONS," Thompson Harrington, Lyons, NY, circa 1860, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, flattened rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed flowering plant featuring spiraling blossoms. Slip-trailed "1" above. Cobalt highlight to maker's mark. Provenance: William Bouck Collection. Three thin cracks from rim, measuring 4 1/2", 4", and 3". A 3 3/4" line on underside, glazed over on interior. Light staining to surface. Minor traces of old red paint to surface. A glazed-over iron ping to rim on reverse. Light wear to handles. H 8 1/4".
