Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "M. & T. MILLER / NEWPORT.PA," circa 1870, cylindrical jug with semi-rounded spout, brush-decorated with a large tulip plant featuring two blossoms flanking long, grass-like leaves. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark, capacity mark, and handle terminals. Handle broken into three pieces and reglued. Spout area additionally reglued as one piece. Staining and mottling to surface. Some bubbling to cobalt. H 16".
