Two Rare Pieces of Cobalt-Stenciled Stoneware, A.P. Donaghho, Parkersburg, WV, circa 1880, a two-gallon cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, decorated with five diagonally-stenciled geometric banners along with the stenciled maker's mark, "A.P. Donaghho, / Parkersburg, W. Va;" paired with a three-gallon ovoid jug with stenciled "3" within banner, stenciled geometric banner, and the stenciled advertising, "J. Busch, Liquors / Parkersburg, W. Va." Two-gallon jar with significant cracks throughout and wire below rim. Jug missing spout area, an in-the-firing chip to shoulder, an in-the-firing handle chip, and a smaller post-firing handle chip, mottling to surface, and black marker numerals on underside. H (of taller) 15 1/4".
