Two Stoneware Canning Jars with Cobalt Stripe Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1875, each with "wax sealer" rim, one decorated with four stripes across the front, the other with three. Four-stripe jar with some staining, otherwise excellent condition. Three-stripe with a small chip to interior of rim; two small chips to inner wax sealer rim; a thin, approximately 2" vertical crack from base on reverse; and traces of old paint to surface, unrelated to any sort of restoration. H (of taller) 6 1/2".
