Anna Pottery Albany-Slip-Glazed Stoneware Pig Flask, Signed "By / Anna Pottery / 1880," Wallace and Cornwall Kirkpatrick, Anna, IL, 1880, molded in the form of a reclining pig with incised details to face and hooves, anatomically correct underside, and spout at rear, incised on one side with the inscription, "Latest and only reliable / Railroad and River Guide / By / Anna Pottery / 1880." Remainder of pig incised with an railroad map of the Midwestern U.S., including the following landmarks: St. Louis the future Great-, Miss River, Chester, O & M. R.R., Springfield, Bloomington, C.R.i.C.R.R., Grand Tower, Jonesboro, Cairo, Carbondale, DuQuoin, Tamaroa, Centralia, Odin, Vincens, Mounds, Anna, Cincinnati the Pork City, and Chicago the Corn City. Flask is broken into two pieces and reglued. A chip to one ear. A flake to one leg. A minor chip to spout. L 7 3/4".
