One-Gallon Stoneware Cake Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1860, wide, cylindrical form with arched tab handles and squared rim, brush-decorated on the front and reverse with hanging bellflower and swag motifs. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Provenance: William Bouck Collection. Rim chips. A small bloated spot to shoulder on one side. Diam. 9 1/2" ; H 4 3/4".
