Rare Glazed Redware Figure of a Cat, attributed to John Bell Waynesboro, PA, circa 1850-1880, moddled figure of a cat with curved tail, collar, and turned head, seated on an oblong, hollowed base. Surface decorated with streaks of manganese and covered in a heavy lead glaze. A reglued break around neck and another to face with coloring/restoration along breaks. Additional restoration to proper left ear and some restoration to muzzle. A minor colored chip to proper right ear. Small base chips. H 4 3/4".
