One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO'," PA origin, circa 1850-1880, cylindrical jar with squared rim, the shoulder accented with a tooled line and combed incising, decorated around the shoulder with three brushed tulips in the Bell style, applied over a slip-coated surface. A thin 6 3/4" crack from rim. A 7/8" rim chip. In-the-firing kiln furniture marks to rim. H 9 1/4".
