Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Bowl, Stamped "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO'," PA origin, circa 1850-1880, ovoid, bowl-shaped jar with squared rim, the surface dipped in cream-colored slip and brush-decorated around the shoulder with ten swags. A long Y-shaped line on underside, continuing onto shoulder of front, where it forms a second Y. A small rim chip. H 6 1/2" ; Diam. 8 3/4".
