One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO'," PA origin, circa 1850-1880, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder and short, slightly flared spout, brush-decorated around the shoulder with three spotted tulip motifs in Bell's distinctive style along with swags emanating from the base of the handle, all applied over a slip-coated surface. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with some light staining. H 11 1/2".
