Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "OTTMAN BRO'S / & CO. / FORT EDWARD, NY," circa 1875, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a plump-bodied bird perched on a leaf. Cobalt accents to maker's mark and capacity mark. Provenance: William Bouck Collection. A small chip to interior of rim. Minor water glass staining to exterior and additional water glass staining to interior. A 3 1/2" firing crack to surface on underside, not visible on interior. H 10 1/2".
