One-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "WHITES UTICA.," NY State origin, circa 1865, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a fan-tailed bird perched on a stylized branch. Brushed cobalt highlight to maker's mark. A lesser-seen size for this classic White's motif. Excellent condition with a small chip to proper right handle and some minor fry to cobalt. H 7 3/8".
