Two-Gallon Stoneware Cream Jar with Floral Decoration, Stamped "WM. E. WARNER / MANUFACTORY / WEST TROY," NY State origin, circa 1850, wide-bodied, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and lug handles, brush-decorated with an open-centered tulip emanating from a leafy stem accented with spots. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Excellent condition with some minor in-the-firing surface flaws and a stained spot near base on reverse. H 8 1/8" ; " Diam. 10 5/8".
