Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "C,F, ORCUTT.&,CO. / ALBANY, NY," mid 19th century, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a stylized slip-trailed design of a flower with looping stem and spotted accents. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Provenance: William Bouck Collection. Two minor chips to interior of rim. Wear to exterior of rim. A 1" chip to exterior of rim on reverse. A 1 1/4" base chip on reverse. Staining to surface. A small shallow chip to proper right handle. A small in-the-making ping to proper left handle. A few minor in-the-firing pings to surface. A smooth, unglazed in-the-firing contact mark to base on front. H 8 3/4".
