Rare Four-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Pitcher Decoration, Dated 1890, NY State origin, 1890, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a pitcher with dramatic line details throughout, dated "1890" at its center. Stylized, striped ground below. Very nice condition. Tight surface lines in underside, not visible on interior. Some in-the-firing chips to bottom edge. A 1 3/8" chipped section to proper right handle. Some traces of old residue to surface reverse. H 11 3/8".
