Eight-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Incised Leaf Decoration, OH origin, mid 19th century, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, semi-squared rim, and open loop handle, decorated with a large incised and cobalt-highlighted design of two stems with leaves conjoined at their base. Incised and cobalt-highlighted "8" above. Missing one handle. A very large reglued section to base. A 2" wedge-shaped loss to base with a long curving crack ascending from it. H 18 3/4".
