Unusual Stoneware Harvest Jug with Cobalt Grapes Decoration, Inscribed "Drink to Net.," OH origin, circa 1880, beehive for with tooled shoulder and applied wide and narrow pouring spout, the handle modeled in the form of a curved twig with incised surface and cobalt highlights. Front decorated with a slip-trailed cluster of grapes flanked by leaves and two leafy stem. Reverse inscribed, "Drink to Net.," with foliate devices above and below. Provenance: James Chebalo Collection. Cracks underside, one of which forms a cross-shaped crack on the reverse and a long horizontal Y on shoulder. A restored 1 3/8" section to end of handle. Minor chips to large spout. A tiny chip to small spout. H 11 1/2".
