Rare Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jug, Stamped "L," probably GA origin, mid 19th century, highly-ovoid jug with tooled spout, the surface coated in a dark-olive alkaline glaze with runs descending from the shoulder. Impressed "L" at shoulder in the manner of Edgefield District stoneware. Excellent condition with a minor spout chip. H 13".
