Scarce Two-Gallon Salt-Glazed Stoneware Jug, Stamped "N. FOX," Chatham County, NC, third quarter 19th century, ovoid jug with semi-rounded spout molding and depressed handle terminal, the surface covered in a salt glaze with heavy runs to the spout and shoulder. Excellent condition with only minor flaws: spout with a tiny chip and light wear, minor wear to surface of jug, and two tiny base chips. H 14".
