Two-Gallon Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jug, attributed to Isaac Craven, White County, GA, circa 1840, ovoid form with thin strap handle and angular spout molding, the surface dipped in a mottled greenish alkaline glaze. Spout incised with two slash marks, a Craven trait. Provenance: Found at a Georgia estate sale. Excellent condition with a minor nick to spout and a few minor base nicks. H 15".
