Red-Painted Pottery Devil Face Jug, Inscribed "Brown's Pottery / Arden, N.C. / L.D.B.," Louis D. Brown, Arden, NC, circa 1995, narrow-bodied, cylindrical jug decorated with an applied clay devil face including curved horns, bulging eyes, eyebrows, large ears, a nose with pierced nostrils, a mustache and goatee, and open mouth with china. Incised details to eyes, eyebrows, mustache, and goatee. Surface covered in red paint with black highlights. Underside incised "Brown's Pottery / Arden, N.C. / L.D.B. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 15".
