Two Stoneware Mugs, American, second half 19th century, a rare Albany-slip-glazed example, stamped "ATHENS / POTTERY .N.Y," late 19th century, paired with a salt-glazed example with cobalt banding, featuring the incised and cobalt-highlighted inscription, "W.W.B." Provenance: William Bouck Collection. Albany mug with a 1 5/8" line from rim. Other mug with salt glaze to underside and a small in-the-firing base chip. H (of taller) 4 3/4".
