Two Redware Articles, John Bell, Waynesboro, PA, circa 1840-1880, both with lead-and-manganese-glazed interiors, a plate stamped "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO'," circa 1850-1880, and a jar, stamped "JOHN BELL," circa 1840-1880. Provenance: From a forty-five-year VA collection. Plate with shallow in-the-firing contact marks to rim. Jar with small chips and wear to rim, a T-shaped crack across underside, forming two Y's and a T at base area of jar, and wear to interior. Diam. (of plate): 9 1/8" ; H (of jar) 8 7/8".
