Stoneware Canning Jar with Cobalt Stripe Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1880, tapering jar with recessed "wax sealer" rim, brush-decorated with four wide stripes across the front. A 5/8" chip to bottom edge of jar. A faint 7/8" surface line from rim on exterior, not visible on interior. Minor rim wear and a tiny in-the-firing ping to inner wax sealer rim. H 8 3/8".
