Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "H.B. PFALTZGRAFF / YORK PA.," circa 1870-1889, ovoid jug with semi-rounded spout, brush-decorated with symmetrical design of two tulips emanating from vertical, leafy stem. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark, capacity mark, and handle terminals. Areas of restoration involving some of the decoration. This restoration in part includes a long restored crack from spout on front, the upper portion of which is unrestored. A 7/8" in-the-firing flake to proper left side of jug. H 13 3/4".
