Lot of Four Norton Pottery Items, Northeastern U.S. origin, second half 19th century, three wooden tools used at the E. & L. P. Norton Pottery, Bennington, VT, circa 1870; paired with an unglazed stoneware match safe with label on underside, reading "NORTON COMPANY / TRADE MARK / NORTON / REGISTERED / WORCESTER, MASS. U.S.A." Provenance: The three tools were previously acquired with an E. & L. P. NORTON / BENNINGTON, VT. pottery stamp at Denlinger Auctions, Bennington, VT. Tools in excellent condition with minor wear. Match safe with wear to rim. L (of largest tool) 12 3/4" ; H (of match safe) 3 1/8".
