One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, VA origin, circa 1825, ovoid jug with tooling to shoulder and spout, brush-decorated with a stylized floral motif composed of three open-centered petals. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Provenance: Recently found in VA. A shallow 5/8" base chip and minor in-the-firing base nick. Some light surface wear. In-the-firing lines to lower handle terminal. H 11".
