Rockingham Presentation Frog Pitcher, Inscribed "S.H. RUSSELL," attributed to Swan Hill Pottery, South Amboy, NJ, late 19th century, molded pitcher with twig-form handle featuring relief decoration of horsemen and hounds taking down a stag, further decorated above with grapevines and below with leaves. Surface covered in a streaky, reddish-brown Rockingham glaze with white-glazed interior. Front decorated in white clay with the name, "S.H. RUSSELL." Interior decorated with a molded and applied figure of a frog, glazed a mottled brown. Excellent condition with minor chips to interior of rim. H 10 1/4".
