Scarce Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "TYLER & CO, / TROY N Y.," circa 1860, semi-ovoid jug with semi-rounded spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a bird on scrolled branch, flanked by stylized floral motifs. Cobalt highlight to maker's mark. Excellent condition with a salt drip to proper right side, an in-the-firing contact mark to shoulder and handle, and light staining. H 13 3/4".
