Rare Miniature Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped Twice "F. WELCH," NY State origin, second quarter 19th century, highly-ovoid jug with semi-rounded spout, decorated with a large slip-trailed design of a flowering plant bearing two tulips flanking a daisy. Impressed above with the cobalt-highlighted name, "F. WELCH." Underside faintly-impressed "F. WELCH." A 5/8" spout chip. Minor nicks to bottom edge of jug. A small in-the-firing ping to front. Traces of old black residue to surface. H 3 1/4".
