Two-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Brown Slip Floral Decoration, Northeastern U.S. origin, second half 19th century, ovoid pitcher with tall collar and pronounced rim, brush-decorated with a triple-blossomed plant executed in an unusual combination of cobalt and Albany slip. Provenance: Jame Chebalo Collection. A thin crack across underside, extending 3 1/4" up base. A 1 1/4" glazed-over iron ping to underside at edge. H 13".
