Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "C. DILLON & Co. / ALBANY," NY State origin, circa 1835-1836, slightly-flared crock with tooled shoulder, coved rim, and applied lug handles, brush-decorated with a horizontal floral motif accented with dashes. Cobalt highlight to maker's mark. A few small chips to interior of rim. Some minor to small chips around bottom edge and a shallow 1" flake to underside at edge. A small in-the-firing iron ping to front. Some residue and wear to proper left handle. Staining to surface.H 8 15/16" ; Diam. (at rim) 10".
