Rare One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "J.B. MAGEE / ITHACA.," NY State origin, circa 1853-1855, semi-ovoid jug with semi-rounded spout, brush-decorated with a stylized floral motif with curved stem. Cobalt highlight to maker's mark. Provenance: William Bouck Collection. Very nice condition with a minor spout chip, a chip to underside at edge, and a small in-the-firing ping to underside. H 10 1/2".
