Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Madison Woodruff, possibly with Romanzo Smith, Cortland, NY, circa 1867-1869, squat-shaped, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and flared rim, brush-decorated with a hanging floral motif below the inscription, "1/2." Provenance: William Bouck Collection. Small chips around inner rim for lid. A 5/8" flake to underside at edge. Some light wear to cobalt. H 7 3/8".
